Whats going on

Margo ended the year 2009 with a great Christmas party at her home in Brentwood Tennessee. Margo and her husband Richard love to entertain friends and family and they also enjoy hosting political events at their home to help get the vote out and this years holiday season was no different with many distinguished guests attending. The food was fantastic as always and their home was beautifully decorated as usual.

Margo and Richard decided that enough was enough with the unusually cold winter in Nashville and spending more of their time enjoying their lovely home in Florida in community of the Villages. Knowing Margo she will most likely not stay idle for very long while there and will find some way to entertain people. The Villages is a beautiful community about ninety minutes north of Orlando and has several gold courses. Almost everyone there drives to the stores and restaurants in their golf carts and some of them are really decked out. Now that sounds like a great way to save on gas while having fun getting there.

Hey! Don't forget Margo has her Fan club "Margo Smith & Friends International Yodeling Fan Club." and is determined to keep the art of yodeling moving forward. On a very sad note Richard and Margo's very sweet and wonderful dog "Maggie" is very sick and we are all hoping she will respond to her treatment and be with us for a long time.

In February Margo, Holly and Taylor were the featured entertainment for the monthly ROPE dinner.

On April 7th, Margo will be appearing on Christian County Television Network "TCT" in Marion, IL.

Also look for Margo on the Jim Bakker Television show to be televised live from Branson, MO.

Margo has a very busy schedule this year and will be performing at Dolly Wood for two weeks this summer. Check out her schedule on her Home Page.

The year 2003 has been a incredible year for Margo. Two years ago a young girl by the name of Taylor Ware approached Margo at the Christian Country Music Association convention where Margo was giving a seminar on Yodeling. Taylor said she had never herd of yodeling but thought it sounded cool and thought she would give it a try (Cute for a 7 year old). Well Taylor decided that she liked yodeling and Margo decided she liked Taylor so they got together for lessons and then this fall the Internet Giant "Yahoo" elected to have a national championship Yodeling contest with the winner receiving among other things a check for $10,000.00. Taylor having been receiving instruction from Margo and now about to turn nine (9) years of age thought she might just give the contest a try so she entered. Yahoo was looking for a yodeler and also a 60 second special yodel so Margo and her daughter Holly, that's the Holly from Margo Smith & Holly that so many of you are familiar with got together with Taylor and worked out the 60- second yodel. Well you probably already guessed the rest because Taylor won in Tennessee and then went on to New York to Compete with all of the other finalists and she did it! She Won! As Margo would say, she won "BIG TIME" so now you can expect to see Taylor Advertising Yahoo in their new commercials beginning around Thanksgiving.
